Officer Justin M. Whyte || Crisis Intervention Team: CIT Program

My name is Officer Justin M. Whyte and I have been serving as a Beat Coordinator for 4 years now.  I have been a Police Officer now going on my eighth year, and have worked in the Patrol East Bureau since 2002.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you and working in our community.  If you have any questions or concerns, Please feel free to call or e-mail me and I will be more than happy to help you in any way I can.

Crisis Intervention Team: CIT Program
In recognition of the fact that police are often the first responders for individuals who are experiencing a mental illness crisis, police departments nationally are incorporating specialized training for officers in collaboration with local mental health systems. This study examined police dispatch data before and after implementation of a crisis intervention team (CIT) program to assess the effect of the training on officers' disposition of calls.

We have a new President. Please support him!!!

We also have a new person doing the yard of the month. We will continue to do yard of the month up until its impossible to recognize our yards. December will be fun but remember more is not necessarily better.

We also will continue with our traveling gnome. Instructions will be very clear on the gnomes.

We're hoping that you all will have happy holidays and a much better 2010.

Sincerely,

Judy Heggy
